Overturned Propane Truck
On Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at 0843 hrs., Bethany units responded to a reported Propane truck rollover on Witty Road near Hunter's Glen Dr. just south of US 158. Upon arrival, units found a propane truck on its side with a small leak from one of the valves. The driver escaped without injuries. Bethany units remained on scene and awaited the tow truck to upright the propane truck. The leak was contained to a small area. A foam attack line was placed on the ground in case of propane ignition. Nearby residents were told to remain in their residences until the scene was clear. Both lanes of Witty Road were closed for the entire incident, which took about four hours. The propane truck was successfully rolled upright and towed off.
