Bethany Road Brush Fire
On Nov. 14, 2010, Bethany firefighters were dispatched
to a brush fire on Bethany Road. Firefighter Lee was the
first to walk around the fire and found the fire going
southeast due to the wind. Upon the arrival of 148
Firefighters Lee, Tuttle and Yeager cut the fire off on the south and upon the arrival of
146 Firefighter Lee assigned Firefighters Shelton and
Tate to cut the fire off on the east side to protect
the structure. Command was transferred from Firefighter
Lee to Chief 140. Chief 140 requested Jacob's Creek FD
for a tanker and another brush truck. Upon their arrival the fire was cut off and
under control and Firefighter Lee, Firefighter Hanner,
and Firefighter Hampton started in on the north and hit
the hot spots. Forestry 2 arrived on the scene and all
fire personnel cleared the scene. |
